On Saturday, the 14th, The Fostering Team hosted a vibrant EID party at The Old Chapel, our head office in Stockport, to honour and celebrate our incredible foster carers, many of whom come from an Islamic background. The event was a resounding success, attended by over 70 people, including foster carers, foster children, and birth children.
The celebration was a joyous occasion filled with laughter, cultural exchanges, and a deep sense of community. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities and delicious food, embodying the spirit of EID and the values of unity and inclusivity.
Anthony Turner, our Registered Manager, expressed his pride in the event, stating, “This EID party is a testament to the rich diversity within our fostering community. It’s heartwarming to see everyone come together to celebrate and support one another. Events like this highlight the strength we find in our diversity and our commitment to fostering an environment of equality and respect.”
The EID party not only celebrated a significant cultural occasion but also reinforced The Fostering Team’s dedication to embracing and honouring the diverse backgrounds of all our members. It was a memorable day that underscored our unity and commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive community for everyone involved.
